In The Clouds
Hi, I’m Brittany
With a background in graphic and textile design, I have naturally evolved ‘In the Clouds’ into a platform where I can use an array of different techniques and mediums to express the exploration of my higher self through abstract and floral painting, focusing mainly on acrylic on canvas. With inspiration from nature and my surroundings, a further extension of my work is print and repetitive patterning, reflected in my portfolio of hand-drawn, hand-painted, and digital patterns suitable for digital and screen print. As a visual artist, I’ve exhibited my work at the St Heliers Gallery in Abbotsford Convent, Raw Australia, Yarra Glen Art Show, and Warrandyte Art Gallery.
I have worked with local screen print businesses over the past 5 years, assisting with design and print production and freelance commission design work. My prints have sold in association with womenswear labels such as Violet Fish Fashion. Across various social media platforms and through my Etsy shop, I aim to build a deep connection to the print and crafting community. Inspired by sustainable textiles and small Australian businesses within the industry, I believe in supporting local artists and the work they represent.
